But it looks like this walkway will be waiting for a spring thaw before it gets any longer. It is, after all, the end of November. We have been lucky to get this far.

Stopped Cold?
Ed has been working feverishly to finish the new stair less entry to the house, but the cold weather has been closing in a little more with each passing day. Fortunately the digging part of the project is finished. Now the ground stays frozen hard except for places where the ground slopes to the south. Just a few more sunny days should give him the chance to finish this job.

What beautiful stone work all around. Sorry you are stopped by the cold, but look what you have to look forward to come spring.

What beautiful stonework. I love the entry. I have a silly question. Did you add drains to keep water runoff from flowing down the path to your door?
We are located on a deep gravel deposit. Additionally, I put small stone under and behind this wall. All wall stones are set on a slight slant so that the stones and the water fall into the core of the wall. There is a six foot deep trench filled with crushed stone under the basement door. All this has resulted in no water running down the path. I do keep it clear of snow and ice.
What a lovely pathway! I hope you are able to finish it before the terrible cold hits.
Lovely work.
Nice stone work! I can appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into this!! Been there, done that. Keep up the good work (if it's not too cold!) Frozen fingers and hard rock are not a good combo!
That is the most beautiful walkway I've ever seen. Wow.
