"Nothing Gold can Stay"

Mother's day weekend is a time when families gather. The time is always short, but it is wonderful to get together. It was Nate who called us to the porch to see the rainbow. It was definitely magical. The light of the setting sun, the falling rain and the landscape came together for a golden moment. One of the things that makes rainbows so special is their transient beauty. Capturing light like that was Monet's driving force.

Amy's photographs captured it perfectly. Now the rainbow is gone, the gold at the end of the rainbow is gone, but the moment is ours forever, and the pictures are a brilliant reminder of a special time together. We will remember every time we look at them!
